FEATURES:
APPLICATION: The Mini-Air Series Air Monitor assures Safety against airborne radioactivity contamination by means of constant monitoring check. Optional alarm and record capability. It provides integrated exposure information. The MINI-AIR Series is sensitive and versatile. Although designed as an industrial workplace and hospital breathing air measurement system, it may also be used to monitor fume hoods and stack effluent. FIRST RESPONDERS: When entering a smokey area a fireperson or first responder can take a real-time measurement for Air-Borne radioactivity with Mini-Air/Radiation Detector/Coil Card plugged into TBM-3D read-out. Then he takes a longer more precise sample by simply wearing the MINI-AIR on his belt and mating it to the TBM-3D at the end of the day to read out his total exposure for the day. DESCRIPTION: The MINI-AIR Series uses standard or charcoal filters in TA's unique quick change, no leak holders to trap any airborne radio-nuclides. The filter is under constant surveillance via a GM detector. Air is drawn by a high volume pump through the filter and exhausted to the room or through an optional hose. An Inlet and outlet hose may be attached to allow monitoring of hoods, glove boxes, stacks, etc. The pump is controlled by a rocker switch wired into the pump circuit. The unit is completely self-contained and portable. Complete with 10 charcoal and 100 glass fiber filter disks. 1.5" diameter standard, 1" optional |

Easy Procedure for Use
A.Quick Safety Check:
1. Turn on Ratemeter
2. Put in clean filter
3. Make Test Count (pump on)
4. Turn on Pump
5. Place Mini-Air (with or without ratemeter) as appropriate within dust cloud or area of concern
6. Wait for 2 to 10 minutes
7. Reattach Ratemeter
8. Digital display read out directly in counts per secon, or in uCi trapped in the filter (for a single isotope of interest with known conversion factor).
B. Rescue Mode - requires TBM-3DA (which has the optional audio alarm)
1. As above but instead of placing Mini-Air in suspect location.
Clip Mini-Air to your belt with pump on.
2. If desired, place ratemeter in coat pocket and attach to Mini-Air.
3. Enter area, make rescue, listen for alarm to know if radiation level is dangerous.
C. Daily Exposure measurement
