ANNOUNCEMENT

As you may know, all reactors create Tritium. As a result,

Rule NEI-07-07 makes Tritium and Carbon-14

STACK MONITORS MANDATORY for

ALL NUCLEAR STATIONS

Here is a recent letter about the EPRI NEI Groundwater Workshop

Ref:  Power Stations now need Tritium and CO2 Stack Monitors

It was an honor to address you and the other attendees about Tritium measurements at the recent EPRI NEI Groundwater Workshop in Charleston. At these meetings we learned that the Power Stations also need to monitor the air-stream and Stacks for Tritium and Carbon-14. This requires new equipment since many stations are still limping along with 30 year old stack monitors and few, if any of the stations currently have H-3 or C-14 stack monitors in place.
TA-Overhoff has been designing and manufacturing Nuclear Air and Stack monitors since 1946. We are now proud to announce our new CAM-TC series:
For a simple solution for Stations just needing to add Tritium and C-14 monitors-- please see model CAM-TCI if your C-14 is in CO2 form or choose model CAM-TCI if your C-14 is in organic form.
For stations wanting to fulfill their responsibility under the 10CFR-51 and for new licensing 10CFR-52 you can save money by upgrading now, saving the cost of a second upgrade in the near future.  The model CAM-TC is a full-service, state-of the-art, stack monitor that reads, analyzes and records Beta-gamma Particulates, Iodine, Noble Gases, C-14, Tritium and optionally Alpha Particulates.

Details are shown in the attached data sheet, or click on this link to go to TA’s online catalog:

Please give me a call to talk about Tritium, Carbon-14 or any Air and Stack monitoring situation or question.

AIR or STACK MONITORS

Model #CAM-33-6

The CAM-33 series are multi-channel air monitors for simultaneous    measuring of gross beta / gamma particulates, and noble gas radioactivity, and iodine. Plus option of Alpha particulates, Tritium and Carbon-14. Like all of the CAM-33 series, these are leak free continuous duty, high capacity, rugged skid or caster mounted systems. Electronics includes computer with 17” COLOR LCD Monitor. Electronics are plug-in modules allowing change or addition of function as needed and allowing rapid repair by substitution of modules in the field. The modular system is covered by T/A’s unique exchange warranty, in addition to the full one-year warranty covering all T/A products. Shields are void free lead encased in welded steel and with stainless steel liners and other features for long, useful life. Filters   are   easily changed via quick disconnect, o-ring- sealed filter   holder. Shield can be opened for filter change or cleaning with minimum effort. All shield connections and openings are sealed against air leaks.
